So tomorrow I take a personal day off work and head down to the Toronto Humane Society to help out.

Means losing a little pay...but thats like nothing if I get to actually do some good.

Except that this video is pretty cool. I knew that's how animals drink...but being able to see it like this is neat.

Currently waiting to hear back from the Annex Cat Rescue to see if they need help when they go down to the Toronto Humane Society tomorrow to assist with the clean up and feeding of kittens.

This is really scary. And please be warned not to look at the photos on the website unless you have a strong stomach.

This touches me on such a personal level as I work just down the street from there, have donated money to them, and applied to volunteer there last week.

I really hope they clean up there act. It sounds like some of the staff/volunteers where working with the police and gathering evidence.

Still so sad.

Busy busy busy!

Yesterday I got my tetanus shot, and applied to volunteer at the humane society/dropped off some cat food I wont be using for them. Then afterward, got groceries.

it wouldn't have taken so long had the first street car I got on...I had not ridden about 12 stops after what I should have gotten off at. And then when I got on another one going back I asked the bus driver "Did we pass DeGrassi Street?" He said NO. And about 3 stops later he was like "Oh wait, yeah we did....way back there." Blargh!

today I have to do a hideous amount of laundry, a couple dishes, and get ACTUAL groceries. (Yesterday I just kinda picked up what I needed for yesterday)

This week I should be getting my first class I need to upgrade in the mail...and from then on I know what I'm going to be doing in my evenings/on weekends.

Saturday I'm going out to dinner to celebrate mine and a friend's birthday. (Even though my birthday isn't untill the 3rd.) Also might have to go to a club meeting. And I booked my first rabies shot (Need it for college) for the same day! (Whoops!) I prepaid my rabies shot soooo I CANNOT miss that.

Then after that it's only a couple weeks till I fly out to Texas for Christmas. So I'm going to be doing classes and working and making Christmas gifts till then...

Oh yeah, it's going to be one busy month!!

Tomorrow night, Comedy Central will be airing a 90-second trailer for Ugly Americans (The show Im currently animating on) during the season finale of South Park (10pm EST, 9pm Central; the trailer should air in the second half, with a shorter tease somewhere beforehand).

So...

AS some of you know I've been trying to go back to college for awhile now.

Well, it looks like things are going rather well!

I found the perfect place to upgrade some high school classes online. I should begin my first course next week.

On top of that I found the place I need to get the vaccinations required.

I get my tetanus shot this weekend which means I can volunteer FINALLY.

The rabies vaccination will cost 660$...which is expensive so Ill weight a little while longer to do that.

But....if I can manage all these things by, say March...I can easily apply to all the colleges in Ontario for Veterinary Technician!

Feeling really creative lately...think Im gunna work more in my dinosaur head either this weekend or next...depending when I hate time. Decided to do fleece instead of fur!...gunna try and make it boy-ish and sell it! :)

I've decided I need to share some of this epic adventures in health food land online! So I'm going to start posting pictures and recipes of things Ive tried. Along with a review of how it went. :) Hopefully it will countinue to encourage myself and others to try healthy stuff!

Pita Pizza

Ingrediants:
-1 Whole Wheat Pizza (190 Calories)
-1/4 Green pepper (approx. 15 Calories)
-1/4 Red Pepper (approx. 15 Calories)
-1/4 Sweet Onion (approx. 15 Calories)
-2 Tablespoons Pasta Sauce (50 Calories)
-1/2 chicken breast (approx. 80 Calories)
-Broccoli (approx. 10 Calories)
-2 TBSP Cracker Barrel grated cheese rape (35 cal)



lay out pita on a cookie sheet. Use pasta sauce as a 'pizza sauce'. Chop up vegetables and chicken finely. (Cook chicken previously). Lay out toppings on pita. Sprinkle 'Cheese' on top. (Cracker Barrel Shredded Cheese Rape has the consistancy much like a parmesaun cheese you get in a countainer.)

Cook in oven at 350-375 for approx. 8 min.

take out, cutt up into quarters and enjoy!

This is one of my favourite recipes of all time! I LOVE cooking it and using different topings. I actually made this one for the boyfriend...I putt mushrooms and pineapple on it.

But the total Calories for this pizza is 400 calories. (Give or take dependign what topings you use.)

400 calories for a PIZZA is Amazing!

The averave 14" Pizza, Cheese Topping Pizza is 2389 Calories.

Like I said...I love this so much. :)

YARGH!

Finally got something done since my bike accident.
I am SO bruised up now it's crazy! and my shoulder is still horrible...but, slowly getting better!

This morning when I got up I decided to take my brand spanken new bike out for a ride down to the beaches of toronto. Well, about 15 minutes into my bike ride, while crossing a street at a decent speed and going up onto the curb my bike FLIPPED ME up and over the handle bars onto the ground below.

After further inspection I found that one of the bolts/knutts holding the front fender was missing...so when I hit the bump, the fender bounced then landed on the wheel getting stuck, thus causing the wheel to stop. And what with the law of things in motion and whatnot, bike stopped, I did not.

I was super angry and upset because it was a BRAND NEW bike. 180$ bike to be exact. And, when I bought the bike ORIGONALLY, I had gotten to the elevator of Canadian Tire with it, and realized the fender was broken, brought it BACK to the manager and complained. They gave me ANOTHER bike (the one that flipped me) which they took me to get inspected by there 'experts'.

yet somehow there experts failed to miss the fact that the fender didnt ave a very important bolt! GAH. So when i went in to complain THIS time, bleedig shoulder and everything, I convinced the manager to give me ANOTHER new bike.

Happily they satisfied my need to NOT burn Canadian Tire down by taking my crappy broken bike and giving me a brand new mountain bike priced at 220$ at no additional cost.

All in all...new bike, better bike, I'm happy.

I'm bruised in SO many places, even places a lady should not be bruised, and my shoulder is all road rashed and bloody, but, still ok!

Too sore to do much of anything today, and exausted from such a CRAAZYYY morning.

So tomorrow, hopefully! Something!
